[2] Product has met the requirements of NSF Standard 50, Annex H.1: Disinfection Efficacy
for the >= 3 log reduction of Enterococcus faecium [ATCC #6569] and Pseudomonas
aeruginosa [ATCC #27313]. This product is intended for supplemental disinfection and
should be used with registered or approved disinfection chemicals to impart residual
concentrations in accordance with state and local regulations. This product has not been
evaluated to the crytosporidium inactivation requirements of NSF/ANSI 50.
[3] This product has not been Certified by NSF to the requirements of the National
Electrical Code or electrical product safety standards.
[4] UV system with model designation UVSX438S is NSF Certified for pool and spa end use at a
maximum working pressure of 50p.s.i.
The UVSX438S system type is a stainless steel reactor vessel with a monochromatic UV
lamp utilizing an in-place chemical cleaning system.
The UVSX438S has met the NSF/ANSI Standard 50 3-log (or better) cryptosporidium
inactivation requirements under the following conditions:
Maximum flow rate of 150gpm at 91-96% or greater UVT when the sensor reading is 7.6
(mW/cm2) or greater.
Maximum flow rate of 251gpm at 95-96% or greater UVT when the sensor reading is 10.0
(mW/cm2) or greater.
Maximum flow rate of 470gpm at 96-98% or greater UVT when the sensor reading is 12.5
(mW/cm2) or greater.
Maximum flow rate of 500gpm at 90-98% or greater UVT when the sensor reading is 12.4
(mW/cm2) or greater.
