Leveraging Your NSF Certification: Now that you've received NSF Certification ... why not leverage the Mark to your advantage.

NSF employees are passionate volunteers. Throughout the organization, NSF employees volunteer their time and resources to help organizations such as The United Way, American Red Cross, Food Gatherers, Girl Scouts of America, The Humane Society, several state and private University organizations including the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and more. In 2011, NSF employees raised more than $150,000 for United Way.
NSF grows and donates fresh produce from its onsite organic garden to Food Gatherer's, a local food bank. Improving the environment is part of NSF's mission and we participate in several environmental community programs such as the Washtenaw County Pollution Prevention Program and Community Partners for Clean Streams. NSF International also strives to reduce its impact on the environment by maintaining drought-resistant native landscaping, recycling and reusing more than 2 million gallons of water and more than 5,100 pounds of metals (copper, brass and stainless steel) each year. NSF also earned Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for its 80,000 ft laboratory expansion.
