Each NSF/ANSI standard for drinking water treatment units requires:

  • Verification of contaminant reduction claims made by the manufacturer/assembler for which certification is requested
  • Structural integrity testing of the product
  • Toxicological assessment and acceptance of all materials used in the fabrication of the product
  • Review and acceptance of all labeling and sales literature used with the product
