Leveraging Your NSF Certification: Now that you've received NSF Certification ... why not leverage the Mark to your advantage.

NSF International is an EPA-approved laboratory and certifying body for the ENERGY STAR® program. Effective December 31, 2010, all manufacturers seeking ENERGY STAR certification will be required to have their products tested by an EPA-recognized laboratory and the results certified by an EPA-recognized certification body, such as NSF International, to verify their energy claims and ensure compliance.
NSF can serve as a "one-stop shop," bundling ENERGY STAR efficiency testing with certification to the NSF/ANSI Standards for Foodservice Equipment. This can help manufacturers save time and costs.
Appliances meeting the ENERGY STAR energy efficiency and NSF/ANSI Sanitation Standard requirements can bear both the ENERGY STAR and NSF logos.
NSF is approved to conduct ENERGY STAR testing in the following product categories: Appliances (Dishwashers, Refrigerators and/or Freezers, Water Coolers); Refrigerated Beverage Vending Machines (including rebuilt); and Commercial Food Service Equipment (Dishwashers, Fryers, Griddles, Hot Food Holding Cabinets, Ice Machines, Ovens, Refrigerators, Freezers and Steam Cookers). Additionally, as an EPA-recognized certification body, NSF can accept test data from other EPA-recognized labs to certify other products as ENERGY STAR qualified.
