Applied Research Center

NSF International’s Applied Research Center (ARC) provides research, contract testing and consulting in chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, laboratory quality / management, methods training and human health risk assessment. Partnering with the private sector, universities and the government, NSF's ARC offers world-class applied research, contract testing and consulting services in water, food, pharma, consumer products and sustainability.

The NSF ARC participates in grant research (as a collaborator or subcontract laboratory), provides contract testing services for universities and industry and offers an extensive range of consultative services.

Projects focus on:

  • Microbial control and antimicrobial efficacy claims
  • Trace analytical chemistry offerings
  • Human health risk assessments
  • Consulting for GLP, GMP, lab design and method training
