Leveraging Your NSF Certification: Now that you've received NSF Certification ... why not leverage the Mark to your advantage.

Hello! I hope our first newsletter of 2013 finds you well and your year off to a great start. There is much exciting news from NSF to start the year. We continue to expand our ability and commitment to providing food safety services of the highest integrity and expertise to our customers around the globe.
We are happy to announce that we have expanded our global network through acquisition of the INASSA Group, a test lab and certifier in Peru, and a merger with the Guelph Food Technology Center, a Canadian food technology center. Both new members of the NSF family will strengthen our service offerings, global presence and technical expertise.
The INASSA Group, located in Lima, is a leader in the Peruvian market in quality control, analytical testing, certifications, inspections, training and consulting. It provides services across the seafood, fish meal, pharmaceutical products, drinking water and mining sectors, and also works closely with regulators and government agencies. The acquisition helps further expand NSF’s existing certification services and operations in Latin America.
The Guelph Food Technology Center (GFTC), located in Ontario, Canada, provides food safety, training, quality and technical services along with innovative solutions for the food and beverage industry to help leading processors and manufacturers improve their people, process and products. GFTC is an Approved Training Establishment for BRC and a Licensed Training Center for SQF.
During the first week of March, NSF will participate in the annual Global Food Safety Conference, held this year in Barcelona, Spain. NSF is a sponsor of this event and will host a breakfast session that covers storage and distribution (S&D) standards. We will have an excellent panel of speakers who will discuss plans that GFSI has to benchmark S&D standards, as well as the value of helping to manage food safety at this critical link in the food chain.
We will also participate in the breakout session, Food Safety Culture and Behavioral Change – One Year On. Dan Fone of our Global Food Division will explore the results of real projects with the companies that put theory into practice. We hope to see you in Barcelona.
NSF looks forward to continuing to work with you in 2013, and supporting your business in meeting its food safety and quality objectives.
Best regards,
Robert Prevendar
