Leveraging Your NSF Certification: Now that you've received NSF Certification ... why not leverage the Mark to your advantage.

NSF international is forming two new NSF joint committees to undertake two projects to develop sustainability assessment standards for the water industry. One joint committee will have a scope related to sustainability assessment of chemical products added directly to water (e.g., for drinking water treatment), and the other will focus on water contact equipment, products and materials. The scope of work is applicable to all of NSF’s existing water related standards and programs, including those for commercial and residential products serving drinking water, wastewater, plumbing product and recreational water markets. Applicants from all of these related industries are welcome. Similar to all of NSF’s standards development committees, membership will be balanced with representation from industry, environmental/public health and user categories.
Applications are available for those interested in applying for voting membership on one or both of these new committees. If you are interested in applying to participate in developing one or both of these standards, download the application and return it to Maureen Sertich at msertich@nsf.org with regards to the Sustainable Water Contact Products and/or Mindy Costello at mcostello@nsf.org with regards to the Sustainable Water Chemicals.
NSF posts stakeholder meeting notices on the NSF International Workspace for the public and sends email notices to the members of the joint committee. Joint committee stakeholder meetings occur primarily via conference call and one to two onsite meetings at NSF International headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI per year.
Select the link below to view the Stakeholder’s group home page via the NSF International Workspace. Once on the home page, select “view all” under Recent Shared Documents to find background material on the standards development effort.
We look forward to your support and participation in this important effort.
