NSF-ISR Registers Bay County Florida Supervisor of Elections Office to ISO 9001:2008

First Elections Office to Achieve ISO 9001:2008 Registration Nationwide

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. (NSF-ISR) today announced that the Bay County Florida Supervisor of Elections Office is the first elections office nationwide to receive ISO 9001:2008 registration. ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally-accepted standard that specifies requirements for quality management systems.

Organizations registered to ISO 9001:2008 must have systems in place to demonstrate the ability to enhance customer satisfaction through effective system applications and continual improvement. Registration of the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office will help the office maintain integrity throughout the election process for local, state and federal elections.

“My goal for the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office has always been to provide the most efficient and transparent elections process possible for the citizens of Bay County. The creation of detailed policy and procedure manuals and our quality management system has allowed the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office to build upon our past achievements and to continue to provide transparent and efficient elections,” stated Mark Andersen, Bay County Supervisor of Elections. “I am very proud of the quality staff at the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office, and we will strive to maintain the public’s trust and confidence in the future.”

NSF-ISR assessed the constitutional office’s quality management system via a two-day comprehensive audit and found it to be in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements.

“ISO 9001:2008 registration will not only help the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office enhance its internal practices, but it also sets a high bar for other election offices throughout the nation to follow,” said Christian Lupo, General Manager, NSF-ISR, a global leader in management system registrations.

To maintain ISO registration, the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office will be audited annually to ensure continual improvement and verify that quality objectives are met.
