WRc, plc and NSF Joint Venture

NSF International and the Water Research Council (WRc, plc) announce the formation of WRc-NSF Ltd., a joint venture company in the United Kingdom. The new partnership offers product manufacturers improved access to global markets through product testing and certifications to international requirements, including ANSI/NSF Standards 60 and 61. The partnership will also offer water utilities more global choices of certified products as a result of increased international product certifications.

Dave Purkiss, former General Manager of the Drinking Water Additives Certification Program, has moved to England to serve as Managing Director for the new partnership. Stan Hazan rejoins the Drinking Water Additives Certification Program as General Manager. He served as General Manager of the Additives Program from its inception in 1988 until 1996, and as Director of Marketing and Communications through February 1999. Hazan, with the additional title of Director of South and Center America, is also developing opportunities for NSF in that region.

To arrange for an NSF staff member to speak to your operators or for more information about ANSI/NSF Standards 60 and 61, contact Stan Hazan at (800) NSF-MARK, ext. 5105, or send email to hazan@nsf.org.
