Beverage Quality Analysis and Testing

Through a global network of world-class laboratories, we offer bottled water, beverage and packaged ice testing and analysis to government and industry standards (U.S. FDA, EU, WHO, BIS and others). We perform microbiological, chemical, radiological and physical (material) testing.
We have the capabilities and experience to test your water for:
- Regulatory compliance
- Support to achieve official recognition for natural mineral water in the EU
- U.S. state compliance including New York state compliance
- Pesticides: PCBs and carbamate pesticides, herbicides
- Specialized detection including mutagen X (MX) DBP, low level chromium IV, bromide and bromate
We also test the caps and containers that hold water and beverages to detect chemical leaching and for:
- Bisphenol-a (BPA), phthalates and antimony
- Heavy metals including lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium
- Inherent viscosity, melting and crystallization temperatures, FTIR of PET resin
- Acetaldehyde content of water and resin

Our 150,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories in Ann Arbor, Michigan, conduct microbiological, chemical, radiological and materials (resin) testing. Turnaround time for compliance testing is 21 days or fewer, helping to ensure you meet regulatory deadlines and get timely responses to your technical research.
In addition, we have an NSF lab facility in Shanghai, China, as well as partner labs in Barcelona, Spain (Dr. Oliver Rodés) and Hyderabad, India (Vimta Labs).
Our laboratories are staffed by world-class chemists, microbiologists, toxicologists and packaging material engineers and accredited to ISO 17025, the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) and ASTM International. In addition, we have International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) certification through ANSI and are members of the Society of Plastic Engineers.
