FSSC 22000

Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) is the certification scheme for Food Safety Management Systems using the international and independent standards ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002-1/PAS 220. This certification scheme was developed as a response to the need of the international food sector to have an independent ISO-based food safety program and is a management system certification scheme unlike SQF, BRC, and IFS, which are process/product certification schemes. The FSSC 22000 standards are developed and maintained by food safety experts from around the world working together in an ISO committee.
