DWTU Industry Forum Scheduled for May

NSF Drinking Water Treatment Unit is hosting the upcoming Industry Forum on May 15th, 2012 at the NSF International Headquarters. We encourage you to participate and provide your input in a round table discussion with industry leaders exploring the latest information about product standards, regulations, and compliance for the DWTU Certification Program.

Meeting of the NSF Joint Committee on Drinking Water Treatment Units

The 2012 DWTU Joint Committee meeting is scheduled for May 16th at NSF International headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI. Eleven new issues will be discussed, including:

  • The addition of criteria for family bracketing in the DWTU standards
  • The inclusion self-cleaning POE systems testing
  • Discussion on the certification of plumbed-in systems without a specific faucet
  • The proposed addition of sulfolane to the organic reduction claim under NSF/ANSI 53

In addition, there will be discussion on NSF's sustainability tools for water treatment and distribution products, recent data collected on total and particulate lead occurrence values, and task group updates including work completed on the haloacetic acids test protocol and mechanical plugging due to the influent water.
