NSF International Receives Partnership Award from the University of Michigan School of Public Health’s Environmental Health Sciences Department

NSF International, an independent global organization that has been developing national public health standards for more than 68 years, received the Environmental Health Sciences Partnership Award from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health (UM SPH), Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) department. NSF International’s Commitment to Protect Food and Water Supports World Accreditation Day 2012

NSF International supports World Accreditation Day 2012 (June 9th) to help raise awareness about the importance of accreditation and to support safer food and clean drinking water activities globally. NSF is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Food and Water Safety and Indoor Environment that tests and certifies products against public health and safety standards to protect the global food and water supply. To honor the day, NSF hosted a tour of its laboratories for media.

NSF International's Plastic Pipe and Fitting Standard (NSF/ANSI 14) Now Required by Uniform Plumbing Code and All Other Major Model Plumbing Codes, Raising the Bar on Quality for Plastic Piping Products

All major plumbing codes are now requiring that plastic piping products comply with NSF/ANSI Standard 14: Plastics Piping System Components and Related Materials including the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). The International Plumbing Code, International Residential Code and National Standard Plumbing Code have required compliance with NSF/ANSI Standard 14 for many years, and now the Uniform Plumbing Code also requires NSF/ANSI 14 compliance for plastic pipe and fittings, raising the bar on quality for plastic piping products nationwide. > Read More
