ISO 45001 Update: Second Draft International Standard Publication Under Way

The ISO project committee working on the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system standard, based on OHSAS 18001, voted to publish a second Draft International Standard (DIS) after the first DIS failed to gain the needed approval. > Read more

NSF-ISR was represented at the AAQG Registration Management Committee (RMC) Aerospace Auditor Workshop held July 21-22 in Fort Worth, Texas. Updates to the TSCA and RC14001® Upgrade Planner/Delta Checklist

On June 22, 2016, President Obama signed into law the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which amends the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), the nation’s primary chemicals management law. NSF-ISR has also released an upgrade planner and transition guide for RC14001®. > Read More

ISO 13485 Transition Timing

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the updated ISO 13485 medical devices quality management systems standard on March 1, 2016. NSF-ISR is currently preparing to perform audits against the newly published standard, training our auditors to the revised requirements. > Read More

ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems; Clean Energy Ministerial Campaign & Upcoming Revision

At the recently held seventh Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7) in San Francisco, world energy leaders announced ambitious actions to accelerate the global transition to clean energy and efforts to address energy efficiency using ISO 50001 on energy management systems. Additionally, ISO announced the standard would begin the revision process. > Read More

ISO/TS 16949 Update

The IATF has not released any new information since the stakeholder conference was held in Rome in April. A final draft version of the standard is scheduled for release soon, and NSF-ISR will notify clients of the latest information as soon as it is available. The final version of the new standard is scheduled for publication by year end 2016.
