NSF International featured the OQC (Origine Qualità Controllata) Registration Program at Cersaie 2015, the international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings in Bologna, Italy.

The OQC registration program and mark verify and attest to the quality and origin of products made in Italy.

NSF International, as a third-party independent organization, verifies that a product complies with OQC guidelines by reviewing quality material safety and performance documentation supported by an annual production facility audit. Manufacturers based in Italy are able to confirm production location and demonstrate the quality of their products.

The OQC Registration Program covers materials and products that come into contact with drinking water such as equipment used in treatment/transmission/distribution and metering systems, pipes and fittings, mechanical plumbing devices, filtration devices, ceramics and more.

Numerous manufacturers have already met the OQC registration requirements including La Torre, which officially received the OQC registration certificate from NSF International during Cersaie in Bologna. On this occasion, NSF International had the opportunity to explain the benefits of the program, the importance of verifying the origin of products made in Italy and the quality commitment of OQC registered companies. Companies meeting the requirements of the OQC registration mark can be found in NSF’s online listings.

“NSF International is delighted that La Torre, a company dedicated for more than 60 years to well-designed and quality products, has achieved registration to OQC,” said Tarik Bellahcene, Managing Director for EMEA at NSF International.

“We are very proud to have many of our products registered to the OQC program. We appreciate NSF International’s efforts to publicize this important registration for Italian manufacturers to the market and international industry players. Only an audit by a well-known independent third-party authority such as NSF International could firmly guarantee that La Torre’s products are really manufactured in Italy and comply with strict international standards for quality,” said Mr. Massimo Latorraca, CEO of La Torre.
