Prestigious Accreditation Demonstrates Commitment to High-Quality Training

GUELPH, Ont. Canada - The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded accreditation status to NSF-GFTC, part of global public health organization NSF International. IACET Accredited Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET continuing education units (CEUs). The accreditation period extends for five years, and includes all NSF-GFTC programs offered or created during that time.

“NSF-GFTC is proud of our education programs which train more than 4,000 professionals in the food and beverage industry each year in HACCP, food safety and quality, globally benchmarked standards, food science, microbiology, packaging and regulations.  Our comprehensive programming is focused on providing practical and technical information, meeting learning needs across the broad scope of the food supply chain and supporting our clients in what they do best - producing safer, quality food,” stated Petra Schennach, Global Managing Director, Training and Education, Food Division, NSF International.  Schennach added, “Our partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs, and we are very pleased to join an elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”

“We are pleased to begin our relationship with NSF-GFTC as an Accredited Provider,” stated Sandra L. Williams, Ph.D., President of IACET and Assistant Professor and Consultant at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL.  Williams added, “NSF-GFTC joins nearly 500 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met.”
