Medeiros will serve as Managing Director of Consulting and Technical Services, North America and of Canadian Agriculture Certification Services

GUELPH, ON and ANN ARBOR, Mich. – NSF-GFTC, part of the NSF International family of companies, has added a new member to its global food safety leadership team. Paul Medeiros has been appointed Managing Director, Consulting and Technical Services, North America and Canadian Agriculture Certification Services. He will play a key role in expanding NSF International’s food safety and quality services.

Based in Guelph, Ontario, Medeiros will oversee the strategic and operational functions of NSF International’s food safety business in North America as well as the agriculture certification business in Canada. His appointment underscores the strategic importance of NSF International operations in the region and the continued focus on the development of technical and commercial solutions to anticipate and meet the sector’s changing needs. With more than 23 years of strategic and technical experience in the food safety industry, Medeiros has established and developed broad-based services for the food supply management chain.

As Managing Director, Medeiros’ experience will help support NSF International’s food safety and quality services in North America through fully integrated consulting, technical and certification services in the agriculture, supply chain management and retail sectors.

Medeiros returns to NSF International after serving as the Director of Quality Assurance for Compass Group Canada. Prior to that, he served as NSF-GFTC’s Director of Consulting and Technical Services for nearly a decade. Earlier in his career, he was Manager, Supply QA at Burger King Corporation. Medeiros received a bachelor’s degree in environmental health from Ryerson University and a master’s degree in food safety and quality assurance from the University of Guelph.
