ANN ARBOR, Mich. – NSF International, an independent global organization with over 70 years of expertise dedicated to protecting and improving human health, has appointed Lisa Bell as Vice President, Global Human Resources.

NSF International is a global public health and safety organization that writes standards, and tests and certifies products for the water, food, health sciences and consumer goods industries to minimize adverse health effects and protect the environment. NSF employs nearly 2,200 employees in 25 countries who work to deliver services to clients located in 168 countries.

In her new role at NSF International, Bell will lead a global human resources team, including regional HR directors in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. She’ll help guide the continued global growth and development of the organization through a focus on organization, talent recruitment and development, and alignment with the business strategy. This includes assisting with the organization’s due diligence and post-integration strategies for global acquisitions.

Bell joins NSF International with more than 25 years of experience, most recently as the first Vice President of Human Resources at DESTACO – A Dover Company, where her focus was on global human resources transformation. Prior to this position Bell worked as Director of Human Resources at Owens Corning in the Buildings Materials Group, focused on human resources and talent leadership of the Insulating Systems business unit. She also worked at Holcim, a Switzerland-based global cement manufacturer (now LaFargeHolcim), where she developed and led their talent management function and team, and built and led the first Learning Center responsible for shaping learning in North America to maximize business performance.

“I am excited to join the great team at NSF International and leverage my experience in human resources in global businesses for this expanding organization,” said Bell. “Working for an organization whose mission is to protect and improve human health is a great fit with my own values and goals as a human resources and business professional as well as my personal focus.”

“Lisa Bell is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in leading successful and innovative human resource initiatives for a global organization,” said NSF International President and Chief Executive Officer Kevan P. Lawlor. “Under Lisa’s leadership NSF International will continue our global growth and attract top professionals from around the world committed to our mission of public health and safety.”

Bell earned her B.A. in business management and MBA in business management from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.  She has been involved in the Ann Arbor community volunteering at Skyline High School and with the Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation.
