Global leaders of pipeline projects and technology gathered at the Gulf Plastic Pipes Academy International Annual Conference in Dubai, UAE on November 25. Attendees learned about the latest methodologies and solutions for plastic pipes to effectively deliver and distribute potable water and collect and transmit waste water. The topics discussed covered design, construction and maintenance, among many others.

Chirstian Kurdy, Managing Director, Middle East at NSF International, provided the audience with an overview of NSF International’s water program services for plastic pipes and the importance of quality compliance for PVC pipes in bringing credibility to manufacturers and the industry.

The conference and networking event outlined the challenges currently facing the pipeline industry and also emphasized that the PVC pipe industry is an often neglected sector.
