AEHAP and NSF Combine to Provide Environmental Health Internship

NSF International has worked closely with the Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs (AEHAP) to allow undergraduate environmental health students to gain valuable experience in their field of study. The scholar that is selected by AEHAP spends the summer working with a local environmental health department and with NSF staff, researching a topic of interest that is approved by their academic advisor. Research findings are presented at the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition, where the student has the opportunity to interact with established professionals in the field. The purpose of the internship is to help encourage more students to enter the field of environmental health. Interested faculty and students should contact Yolanda Sinde, Executive Director at AEHAP at ysinde@aehap.org or Stan Hazan, Sr. Director f Regulatory Affairs at NSF International at hazan@nsf.org.
