HACCP for Building Water Systems: Cost $580; Hazards associated with building water systems—including physical hazards (scalding), chemical hazards (lead poisoning, disinfection by-products) and microbial hazards (Legionella, Pseudomonas, NTM) —are a leading cause of preventable disease, injury and death in developed countries.  Incidence rates associated with these hazards are rising.  Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a systematic, science-based, structured process best known for its successful, widespread use in food safety. The adaptation of HACCP to managing risks associated with building water systems has proven a cost effective process for protecting public health and avoiding liability.  In this one-day intensive education and training course, participants learn about the hazards associated with building water systems and how HACCP methodology, adapted to building water systems, can prevent these hazards from causing harm to people.
