The Checked by NSF icon is a visual demonstration of an organization’s commitment to continued workplace safety, verifying organizations have implemented appropriate measures to minimize the risk of COVID-19 among employees, visitors and guests.
Organizations and individual locations authorized by NSF to display the Checked by NSF signage have met the requirements detailed below, which were developed by public health experts.
Checked by NSF is supported by a custom app that enables collaboration among sites, managers and quality teams, benchmarking of operations and risk-based analytics of leading indicators to proactively mitigate hazards.

OEHHA Issues Proposed NSRLs for Three Disinfection By-Products

On May 22, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), which assesses health risks of environmental contaminants in products sold in California, issued three notices of proposed rulemaking (NPRs) establishing proposed no significant risk levels (NSRLs) for three water disinfection by-products : trichloroacetic acid, dibromoacetic acid and dichloroacetic acid; also known as haloacetic acids. These NPRs were open for comment until July 7. OEHHA is now reviewing the comments and will then issue a final rule.
