Businesses in the Region of Waterloo can learn COVID-19 safety best practices and gauge how well they’re adhering to COVID-19 requirements thanks to a new program from the Region of Waterloo and local chambers of commerce, delivered in collaboration with NSF.

The program, which is free and voluntary for businesses, hires and trains students from local post-secondary health programs to act as ambassadors. These ambassadors visit businesses to deliver COVID-19 guidance on safer operations in one-on-one consultations, and provide customized information and resources based on Ontario’s reopening plan.

Meeting program requirements earns businesses a window sticker that demonstrates compliance with program requirements and provides employees and patrons with additional confidence in the safety of the workplace.

The program was designed by NSF in cooperation with local business organizations, and reviewed by Region of Waterloo Public Health.
