"Chris Slack is a marketing professional with a career spanning 25 years. He has worked in a number of sectors, covering market insight and product, service and brand management as well as strategic marketing.
He works alongside NSF's health science division teams, covering areas including pharmaceutical and clinical, dietary supplements consulting, and medical device and IVDs consulting and training solutions, while also supporting the certification teams involved in ensuring the safety and quality of dietary and sports supplements. Working with the business units and functional teams, Chris creates actionable market insight, builds new services and marketing campaigns, and is involved in cross-functional support for the global team. Before this, Chris was responsible for the food division's regional marketing in EMEA for supply chain food safety, certification, consulting and technical services, and agriculture and retail, including new projects such as responsible sourcing and innovation areas. In addition, he oversaw the marketing of global business units like bottled water, food equipment and nonfood compounds.
Prior to joining NSF in 2014, Chris was involved in a whole host of sectors in the food supply chain, from developing innovative ingredients and flavors with global brands to consumer-packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) supply through to food retail, with a stint working agency-side with large food retailers. Chris has a keen eye for innovative new ideas and has worked on developing entirely new categories in beverages and in electrical consumer goods, driving sales with new products into new channels.
Chris is an active fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, recently taking on the voluntary role of communications ambassador, and a CIM regional board member, and he is passionate about self-development.
