Don McFarland

As Technical Scheme Manager, Aerospace, Don McFarland leads NSF’s accredited Aerospace Quality Management Systems certification program. His team manages and conducts audits for more than 1,000 accredited aerospace clients each year. McFarland is also responsible for the growth of AQMS programs while improving technical programs.

Prior to NSF, McFarland spent nearly 20 years managing various quality management systems within the commercial, medical, military, aviation and transportation industries. He previously worked for Inovar, Inc. and Lifetime Products. He holds auditing credentials as an Aerospace Experience Auditor (AEA) for AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120.

McFarland attended Weber State University and has served on numerous committees, including with the IPC-A-610, American Society for Quality, SAE Americas Aerospace Quality Standards Council and the Americas Aerospace Quality Group. For more than two decades, he has served as a part-time firefighter and AEMT with the Clinton City Fire Department.
