Samuel Brown is a Medical Devices Consultant for NSF’s health sciences division, serving commercial clients in the health care sector. Samuel has participated in providing strategic scientific and regulatory services to health care clients and their counsel, with a focus on managing the most challenging issues in regulatory, public policy and litigation forums. His responsibilities have included management of active projects, development of proposals and budgets, assistance in finalizing training modules and materials, coordination and resourcing of quality systems improvement and remediation projects, and finalizing gap assessment reports and other key deliverables and final work products to clients.
Samuel’s experience includes development and consultation on U.S. regulatory submissions, including presubmission requests, Q submission requests and premarket notifications (510(k)s); development and consultation on regulatory strategies and gap assessments for Class II and Class III medical devices; and provision of guidance to clients on nonclinical testing required to support regulatory submissions. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in biomedical engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
