Assurance Program for Sustainable Assessment of Professional Services – Call for Pilot Participants

NSF International is calling for participants in a new assurance program for the NSF/ANSI 391.1 standard, the first American National Standard for sustainability in the professional services industry. The pilot will include professional service organizations, purchasers of professional services and approved certification bodies (CBs).

NSF is accepting professional service organizations, buyers, suppliers and certification bodies as applicants to the pilot program. Participants will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of how the 391.1 standard and assurance program can be implemented effectively to create a positive impact in the professional services industry – and, more broadly, to serve as leaders in sustainability within the industry.

As a pilot participant you will have an opportunity to be one of the first organizations recognized for demonstrating sustainable leadership in the professional service industry. In addition, you will have a chance to shape the final program by providing feedback throughout the pilot process.

Aspects such as environmental, social, economic and supply chain impacts are key performance indicators, and the NSF/ANSI 391.1: General Sustainability Assessment Criteria for Professional Services standard gives professional services a method in which to demonstrate sustainability leadership.
