NSF Training & Education Services OK’d to Issue IACET Continuing Education Units in Latin America

Participants in NSF’s food safety training programs in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Mexico can now earn CEUs

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – NSF’s food safety training programs in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Mexico have been accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). The prestigious accreditation means NSF can now offer continuing education units (CEUs) to participants in its training programs in those countries. NSF Training & Education Services has been an IACET Accredited Provider in North America for the past five years.

“Each year, NSF in Latin America trains more than 10,000 food and beverage professionals in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety and quality, globally benchmarked standards, packaging and regulations,” said Erin Moore, Global Managing Director of Training and Education at NSF. “NSF Training & Education Services’ accreditation through IACET demonstrates our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs.”

Through continued focus on innovation, quality and diversity of training offerings, NSF’s training portfolio has expanded to meet the needs of the food and beverage industry. NSF delivers more than 600 courses on an annual basis through open enrollment, on-site and eLearning training. Training topics include:

  • HACCP
  • Global food safety and quality benchmarked standards
  • Food regulations
  • Food safety and quality
  • Packaging

In order to achieve Accredited Provider status, NSF Training & Education Services completed a rigorous application process including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2013 standard addressing the design, development, administration and evaluation of its programs.

NSF’s training and education services helps companies meet the growing needs of regulators, industry and customers by offering training and education in each sector where NSF offers services.
