Course Overview
This one-day course is designed for manufacturers of drinking water system components and regulators responsible for product approvals to learn the testing, audit, marking and other certification requirements for drinking water system components. The course syllabus includes:
- Regulatory requirements for NSF/ANSI/CAN 61
- Standards development and maintenance
- The full NSF 61 Certification process including:
- Formation review and toxicological evaluation requirements.
- Test protocols.
- Test result normalization.
- Test result interpretation.
- Audit requirements.
- Annual maintenance of certification.
- Lead content verification under NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 and lead-free requirements under the US Safe Drinking Water Act.
- Recent standard revisions.
