Pharma CEO George Tidmarsh Named Director Of US FDA’s Drug Center

George Tidmarsh, a founder and CEO of multiple pharmaceutical companies in the oncology and critical care medicine spaces, has been named director of the US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

Tidmarsh will replace Jacqueline Corrigan-Curay, who has been acting director since Patrizia Cavazzoni left the position in January.

Corrigan-Curay planned to retire later this month, but agreed to extend her retirement date to ensure a smooth transition.
