Description

George Tidmarsh resigned on 2 November as director of the US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) after less than 4 months in that position.

The Health and Human Services Department confirmed that on Oct. 31. Tidmarsh’s departure leaves a large and potentially difficult vacancy for FDA Commissioner Martin Makary to fill. Mike Davis is currently deputy CDER director. He rejoined the agency in June after working several years in industry.
