Complaints/Appeals relating to Global Trust Certification (GTC), an NSF company

Global Trust Certification (GTC), an NSF company, acknowledges all complaints about the GTC process and about GTC-certified clients.

Definitions

Complaint: An expression of dissatisfaction about NSF/GTC or the activities of NSF/GTC personnel.

Appeal: A request to reconsider a Nonconformity or Decision.

Who can submit a complaint?

If you wish to submit a complaint about the Global Trust Certification (GTC) process or GTC clients, NSF will acknowledge your complaint. This applies to any individual, organisation, worker or employee of a certified client, scheme owner or other interested party.

GTC will address complaints in accordance with its complaints-resolution procedures.

How to submit a complaint

Please email your complaint to any member of the GTC staff, or to [email protected], or inform us via this link. When you notify GTC about your complaint, please include the following information:

  • All details related to the complaint
  • Any evidence that supports your complaint

If you are dissatisfied with how your complaint or appeal has been handled, you can escalate your concerns to Assurance Services International (ASI), the independent body which oversees NSF/GTC activities relating to ASC and MSC and/or the scheme owner or INAB Complaints, FOI, Cross Frontier, Feedback and Appeals – INAB, the Accreditation Body which oversees NSF/GTC activities relating to CSI (Certified Seafood International).

Appeals must be sent directly to GTC/NSF [email protected], where the Scheme Owner has their own appeals procedure then this will be used instead of the GTC/NSF procedure, GTC/NSF recommends that you review the scheme owners appeal process.
