Welfare in Transit Vehicle Approval Scheme

Ensuring the welfare of animals during transport is a critical responsibility. For journeys in the UK exceeding 8 hours, a Certificate of Vehicle Approval is mandatory when transporting cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, and other equines. This requirement also extends to poultry and other species, for which you will need a Certificate of Vehicle Approval for journeys exceeding 12 hours in the UK. All species require a Certificate of Vehicle Approval for journeys outside the UK lasting more than 8 hours, including any part of the journey within the UK.
