Sanjay Shetgar

Dr Sanjay Shetgar is the Vice President/Senior Consultant for the Health Sciences at NSF in India. He is responsible for establishing NSF India in the pharmaceutical industry, identifying business opportunities, and providing consultancy services in areas of core quality, remediation, investigations, audits, and training.

Shetgar has more than 30 years of experience in quality management systems for regulated, and emerging markets for the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), drug products (oral solids, ointment & creams, liquid, sterile, injectables, medical device, and combination products) including Biotechnology API and its drug product.

Before joining NSF in 2021, Shetgar served as the Senior Vice President with Wockhardt Limited, where he was responsible for corporate and operational quality for India & Middle East sites. He also previously held the position of Vice President, Global Quality at Dr. Reddy’s laboratories and Head Quality Assurance at Cipla, Bangalore facility.

Shetgar is a certified IRCA lead auditor and has been recognized as as one of the Top 50 Quality Professionals through Global Quality Congress. He is also a speaker at various pharmaceutical forums
