NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 Readiness Tool

Interested in getting your product certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60? Our readiness tool gives you insight into how prepared you are to begin the process.

NSF/ANSI/CAN 60: Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals – Health Effects is a leading American and Canadian National Standard that establishes the minimum health effects requirements for the chemicals, chemical contaminants and impurities that are directly added to drinking water from drinking water treatment chemicals.

Certification or compliance is required by 49 U.S. states and nine Canadian provinces/territories, as well as in other key countries around the world, from the local to the national level.

Various chemical products fall under the scope of this standard, including:

  • Corrosion and scale inhibitors
  • Coagulants and flocculants
  • Disinfection and oxidation chemicals
  • Well-drilling aids
  • pH adjustment, softening, precipitation and sequestering chemicals
  • All other speciality chemicals used in drinking water treatment

We’ve tested and certified thousands of products to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60, so we have a direct insight into the gaps companies often face when submitting their products for certification. For this reason, we’ve developed a readiness tool that can help you determine where you stand in preparing to begin this process with NSF.

The readiness score provided is a general estimate for informational purposes only. It is not an application, nor does it grant any type of certification. Your score does not affect future applications.
