Potential European Biotech Act

Description

In July 2024 the European Commission announced their intention to bring forward a new Biotech Act in order to strengthen small and midsize biotechnology enterprises across the EU and streamline regulations. On 4 August 2025 the Commission launched an online questionnaire to gather “evidence and views from stakeholders across all relevant sectors of biotechnology and biomanufacturing”.

This consultation remains open at Biotech Act until 10 November 2025.
