Our Mission
in Action

Our Standards and Toxicology teams worked hard to tackle existing and emerging risks to human health and to leverage the best available science to improve public health standards across the world.

In 2024 we focused on strengthening organic standards and promoting animal wellness, while continuing to lead the way in certification, testing and compliance in the food and nutrition industry. In Food Service, we broadened our global reach with increased focus on helping clients to protect their brand reputation in developing markets via franchise models.

Last year, we expanded our reach into new markets, introduced groundbreaking certifications to address emerging needs, and empowered manufacturers to meet stringent regulatory requirements with confidence. We also strengthened our local presence in international markets, while continuing to anticipate and respond to the evolving challenges of water safety.

Whether we were navigating new regulations, supporting clinical trials to validate efficacy and product claims, or revising and maintaining robust quality systems, our team delivered the specialist knowledge and support needed to bring life-saving innovations to the public faster.

From enabling companies to secure contracts through robust certifications to fostering safer workplaces and sustainable practices via international ISO standards, our efforts drove meaningful change across industries during 2024.

Our goals are to ensure a world-class experience for all NSF team members, attract and retain the best talent and promote NSF’s core values across the globe. As a result, we are especially proud of what we achieved in 2024. From the development of our new HP² initiative, designed to foster a culture of high performance, to launching targeted training programs and cross-functional leadership challenges, there were many opportunities for our people to develop and grow.
