FSPCA Food Traceability Rule (FTR)
What you'll gain from this course
The FTL includes a broad variety of commodities and manufactured products. Industry compliance with FTR requirements enables faster identification and rapid removal of potentially contaminated food from the market, helping to reduce foodborne illnesses and deaths. This course was developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) for segments of the food industry required to comply with the FTR and provides practical guidance on developing and implementing food traceability practices.
FSPCA training materials include a comprehensive training manual with presentation slides, explanations of key terms and concepts, hands-on exercises, and reference materials.
The training addresses the regulatory requirements of the FDA Food Traceability Rule (FTR) and discusses key considerations for implementing effective food traceability programs and procedures.
This course is taught by FSPCA-trained Lead Instructors. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive an official certificate issued by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).
The FTR curriculum was designed by regulatory, academic, and industry professionals and developed with funding from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of the FSPCA.
All participants must be able to join the live, web-based training sessions using VoIP to fully participate in course activities.
