This focused instructor-led, ½‑day conversion course provides food safety professionals with a clear, practical understanding of the key changes in SQF Edition 10—and what those changes mean for your existing programs. Designed for busy SQF practitioners, quality leaders, and food safety teams, this streamlined session distills the most important updates so you can take immediate, informed action. 

Through guided discussion, real‑world examples, and practical job aids, participants will learn how Edition 10 impacts system design, documentation, verification, and audit expectations. The session emphasizes what has changed, why it changed, and how to transition efficiently, ensuring your organization is prepared for compliance and audit readiness. 

Whether you oversee the SQF program or support implementation in your facility, this course equips you with the insights and tools needed to confidently update your Food Safety and Quality System to Edition 10. 

 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Identify and interpret the key updates in SQF Edition 10, including new and revised requirements. 

  • Evaluate the impact of these changes on their current SQF system to determine necessary updates and priorities. 

  • Use practical tools and templates to begin planning documentation and system modifications to support Edition 10 audit readiness. 

 

NOTE: This course requires frequent reference to the SQF Edition 10 Code. Please have the applicable Code printed or available electronically throughout the session.

Upon registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the training course through NSF’s eLearning portal. Any additional information pertaining to the course will be sent in your confirmation email. 

You will find your course material and homework/exam on the eLearning portal. You will need to access the portal in order to successfully complete the course and print your certificate. Upon successful course completion, you will gain access to print your official NSF Certificate.

Prerequisites  

It is recommended that participants are already familiar with the requirements of the SQF standard.
