NSF Food Safety Essentials

Whether you're starting with one location or expanding across multiple sites, our Food Safety Essentials programme is designed to grow with you—supporting consistent food safety at every step.
What is a food safety audit?
A food safety audit, also known as a food hygiene audit, is a standardized check of your day-to-day food operations. We look at all the fundamentals that underpin good food safety, from front to back of house, supporting your efforts to protect customers and staff.
How can a food safety audit help improve recurring hygiene issues?
Our food safety audit is designed to get to the route of any food safety issues, as we cover all the critical components. Designed to help you maintain best-in-class standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance, we’ll conduct an on-site audit across four key areas:
- 1
Food safety
We assess critical practices such as hygiene, temperature control, safe food storage, and contamination prevention.
- 2
Cleanliness
We inspect the cleanliness of all areas, including dining spaces, restrooms, kitchen equipment, and back-of-house operations. - 3
Repair and maintenance
We check the condition of your premises and equipment to ensure everything is well-maintained and functioning properly. - 4
Brand standards
We verify each store's overall condition including layout, cleanliness and guest experience-according to your quality standard.
This comprehensive approach helps identify risks, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports your continuous improvement in food safety standards.
