Oliver P. Christ works for NSF, a global leader in training and consulting services for medical technology. He has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry and holds an electrical engineering degree. He was the Founder and CEO of PROSYSTEM, which was acquired by NSF in 2017.
Mr. Christ has actively participated in several international standardization projects for medical devices, including ISO 14971 (risk management), IEC 62304 (medical software), IEC 60601-1 (electrical equipment and systems), IEC 62366-1 (usability) and IEC 80001-1 (IT networks). He was also one of the founding members of the ISO 14971 committee in 1996.
Mr. Christ is head of the German National Committee for Medical Electrical Equipment and Systems and is involved with monitoring global medical device standardization projects (safety, security, risk management and artificial intelligence). Since 2011, he has been a member of the advisory board for the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), serving on the technical committee TC62 for medical equipment and its Software Network and Artificial Intelligence Advisory Group (SNAIG).
