NSF Becomes a Member of the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council in the UK

NSF has recently been accepted as a member of the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC) division of the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA), a trade body that has been in operation for over 100 years.

HHIC is an organization committed to effectively driving, supporting and influencing the sustained growth of the UK domestic heating and hot water industry. NSF’s laboratory in Oakdale, Wales, United Kingdom is one of the world’s largest specialized test laboratories for water fittings.

HHIC offers different services to its members, including information, networking, events and market data. HHIC also manages 15 industry working groups including a boiler group, a boiler technical panel and a water treatment group. NSF is proud to become a member of this esteemed group, and was chosen due to its competencies in boiler testing, managed by the laboratory team in Oakdale.

This membership will help NSF keep open communication with the industry, as well as learn more about how to better serve clients. Boiler manufacturers (representing 21 percent of HHIC member companies) will be in direct contact with NSF, and will be able to jointly review and address a number of issues impacting the market, including political legislation and European policy. Manufacturers will benefit from NSF’s high expertise in the heating and hot water industry by having a better understanding of the industry requirements and the certification process.

Finally, NSF will be invited to key meetings to remain updated on trends, issues and news related to the heating and hot water industry to maintain its knowledge and expertise in this industry. This will help NSF deliver the best service to its customers.
