NSF Shanghai Testing Co. Ltd. Now Offers Testing for NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 and 61 Standards

The lab’s initial new test offerings will allow manufacturers across Asia to decrease time shipping samples of their products for testing.

ANN ARBOR, Mich - NSF Shanghai Testing Co. Ltd., an NSF company, now offers manufacturers initial testing options under the NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 and 61 standards at their Shanghai lab. These standards address the health effects of water treatment chemicals (NSF/ANSI/CAN 60) as well as water distribution system products that may leach contaminants into water (NSF/ANSI/CAN 61). The new testing capabilities that support NSF certification will initially be offered for a select number of chemicals and products and will eventually expand in scope. NSF certification provides a mark of confidence for end users that the manufacturer’s products meet globally accepted public health standards as well as a competitive advantage for manufacturers who obtain these certifications.

"Thanks to our global team’s support, we are proud to now offer these new certification abilities. We believe it will be a great opportunity for us to develop localized business and better serve our clients,” said Dr. John Shan, General Manager of NSF in China.

Founded in 2011 as NSF’s operation center in China, NSF Shanghai Testing Co. Ltd. aims to provide local testing services for the growing food safety and water quality programs. This laboratory is an independent testing body accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) to ISO/IEC 17025 and certified by the China Metrology Accreditation (CMA).
