Formerly known as EurepGAP, GLOBALG.A.P. is a private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe.
Based on Good Agricultural Practices, the GLOBALG.A.P. food safety standard encompasses all process activities on the farm and is a business-to-business certification. The GLOBALG.A.P. standard covers 80 countries and is based on review of on-farm compliance against three main scopes: crops, livestock and aquaculture. We can provide GLOBALG.A.P. certification in many of the sub-scopes.
Achieving NSF certification to GLOBALG.A.P. provides independent verification that a product or process complies with specific international standards. It enables a food supplier to give assurances that food has been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standard.
GLOBALG.A.P. Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS)
The HPSS is designed for fruit and vegetable producers located in or selling to the United States. It is based on the U.S. Harmonized GAP standard and is GFSI benchmarked.
GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA)
This globally recognized food safety standard covers agricultural businesses such as fresh produce, field crops, livestock production, plant propagation and compound feed manufacture. It improves farm management practices and compliance with legislation in the key areas of food safety, protection of the environment, worker health and safety, and animal welfare. It is also:
- A Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) standard with food safety requirements recognized by retailers and foodservice buyers worldwide
- Implemented on more than 100,000 farms in more than 100 countries
- Well-known, proven and practical to adopt
- Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) as a primary production scheme
GLOBALG.A.P. Chain of Custody (CoC)
The GLOBALG.A.P. CoC Standard identifies the status of GLOBALG.A.P. certified product throughout the entire process, from farm to retailer. It lays out strict requirements for handling certified products and the proper segregation of certified and non-certified produce in the processing operation units.
GLOBALG.A.P. Plant Propagation Material Certification
GLOBALG.A.P. Plant Propagation Material (PPM) certification helps ensure the quality and safety of your products as well as worker and environmental health and safety. It covers the entire production process to provide your customers with safe and sustainably produced products.
