ETV Drinking Water Systems Center
NSF International entered into an agreement on October 1, 2000 with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to form a Drinking Water Systems (DWS) Center dedicated to technology verifications. With assistance from the EPA, NSF managed an Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Center that provided independent performance evaluations of drinking water technologies.
Evaluations were completed using protocols developed with stakeholder involvement. ETV tests and reports helped accelerate a technology's entrance into the commercial marketplace by providing consumers with verified results of product evaluations.
This center is no longer accepting new applications for technologies to be verified. The center will conclude operations at the end of 2013.
