Part 1 of the Botanicals training is designed to provide an overview of testing methodology, specifications, and ingredient identification for botanicals.

Participants in this course will:
  • Identify Botanical Unknowns
  • Investigate the characterization of botanicals
  • Differentiate between natural and adulterated botanicals
  • Review organoleptic characterization
Make sense of complicated steps to ensure testing methods are scientifically valid for species identification.
