Contaminant Reduction Claims

Use our helpful guide to find a certified water filter or treatment system. It shows the top contaminants you asked us about.

At NSF, we certify various water treatment systems, from filtration to reverse osmosis, which are designed to reduce contaminants. We have listed certified products based on the pollutants we regularly ask about to help you find the best water filter for your home or office. Remember that no systems may be certified to reduce that specific contaminant if a filter type is not listed. Contact us with your questions.
