Forestry Service Accreditations and Certification Expertise

Our forestry services are delivered through a network of NSF-accredited companies, providing expert certification, auditing, assurance, and compliance solutions across the forestry sector.

NSF Certification, LLC is ISO/IEC 17065 accredited to certify to these standards:

  • SFI 2015-2019 Standards and Rules, Section 4: Chain-of-Custody Standard
  • SFI 2022 Standards and Rules, Section 4: Chain of Custody Standard
  • SFI 2022 Standards and Rules, Section 5: Certified Sourcing Standard
  • PEFC ST 2002:2020 Chain of Custody Standard

NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF-ISR) is ISO/IEC 17021 accredited to certify to these standards:

  • American Tree Farm System® (ATFS®) 2021 Standards of Sustainability
  • American Tree Farm System (ATFS) 2021 Independently Managed Group (IMG) Certification Standard
  • SFI 2022 Standards and Rules, Section 2: Forest Management
  • SFI 2022 Standards and Rules, Section 3: Fiber Sourcing
  • SFI 2022 Standards and Rules, Section 13: Optional Modules
    • Small Lands Group Certification Module
    • Small-Scale Forest Management Module for Indigenous Peoples and Families

In addition to our core forestry certification services, NSF offers integrated Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) audits (FSC-N003091), delivering FSC certification services in association with Soil Association Certification Ltd. (FSC-A000525). While services may be provided by different accredited entities, we ensure a seamless customer experience through consistent quality, trusted technical expertise, and globally recognized accreditation standards.
