iNADO Partners with NSF to Support Members and Athletes

iNADO is pleased to welcome NSF’s expertise and experience in support of its members and the athletes they serve

The Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO) has announced a new partnership with NSF, a leading global public health and safety organisation dedicated to protecting and advancing human health, to support iNADO members and the athletes they serve.

NSF will support iNADO’s activities and its efforts in protecting clean sport by providing its member organizations and the athletes they serve with trusted supplement certification resources.

iNADO is the international member body for National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations (RADOs), representing organisations that work to protect clean sport through testing, education, intelligence, investigations and athlete support initiatives worldwide.

NSF helps athletes, coaches and sports organizations make safer choices when selecting dietary supplements, functional foods and sports nutrition products. For more than 20 years, NSF has addressed growing concerns around banned substances and product contamination through certification and has become a trusted resource worldwide for athletes and organizations seeking to reduce supplement-related risks.

“With nutrition being a key component of today’s athletic performance, athletes, athlete support personnel and professionals advocating for clean sport seek clear guidance when navigating the increasingly complex nutrition and supplement landscape,” said Peter Van de Vliet, CEO of iNADO. “We see it as our role and responsibility to facilitate access for our members to appropriate resources and are privileged to engage expert partners here. We warmly welcome NSF on board.”

NSF’s content and banned substance certification program is designed to help athletes and sporting organizations reduce risk by providing independent verification of supplement products and manufacturing practices, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

“Athletes and anti-doping organizations are navigating an increasingly complex supplement marketplace, where contamination and banned substances can have serious consequences,” said David Clarke, Director International Markets, Nutrition and Wellness at NSF. “NSF reinforces trust by ensuring products are independently tested and held to the highest quality standards. We’re proud to stand with iNADO and its members in protecting athletes and upholding the integrity of sport.”

NSF develops public health standards and provides testing, inspection, certification, advisory services and digital solutions to the food, water, health sciences and consumer products industries.

Products evaluated through NSF’s rigorous content and banned substance certification program are verified not to contain hundreds of substances banned by major athletic organizations and do not contain unsafe levels of contaminants or masking agents. NSF certification also helps confirm that what is listed on the label matches what is in the product and that products are manufactured in facilities that undergo regular audits for quality and safety.
