NSF Completes First Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment for Offset Strategic

NSF, the leading global public health and safety organization, has completed its first Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) for Offset Strategic Services (OSS). As an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO), NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF-ISR) provides Defense Industrial Base contractors with JSVA’s for eligibility for a CMMC Level 2 certification, a suite of information security requirements established for those doing business with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

“Compliance to CMMC plays a key role in protecting controlled unclassified information (CUI) by engaging the expertise of third-party organizations such as NSF,” said Rhia Dancel, CMMC-registered practitioner and Technical Scheme Lead, NSF-ISR. “We commend OSS on completing the JSVA, which positions them among the selected Organizations Seeking Certification (OSCs) to the front of the line for when the upcoming CMMC rule becomes final.”

CMMC is currently undergoing rulemaking and is expected to be included in DoD contracts by 2025 or earlier. The rule will further enforce how government contractors and subcontractors protect CUI in their systems and networks.
